Walk among the flowers! Join the League City Garden Club for a colorful, bountiful self-guided tour during their 12th Annual Garden Walk “Along the Wildflower Trail” on Saturday, September 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The wildflower trail features 6 private gardens located throughout the city, as well as the Dick Benoit Prairie Preserve and Ghirardi Watersmart Park. Pay homage to these beautiful hidden gardens, do a drive-by peek the peaceful prairie preserve, and see the historic, century-old Ghirardi Compton Oak Tree at the Watersmart Park.
Participants can access these private and public gardens and receive knowledgeable docents from the League City Garden Club and the Galveston Bay Area Master Naturalists. Plan your next freeze and drought tolerant garden, learn about native plants, or simply enjoy the beauty of a backyard oasis!
Tickets (maps included) cost $15 and are available that Saturday at Nana’s Attic, 501 E. Main St. at Founder’s Square in Historic League City. All proceeds go to the League City Garden Club, a non-profit organization and one of the oldest clubs in League City that was founded in 1949. The club supports educational and beautification projects within the community, hosting programs, field trips, and other social events.
