Everything seems to be happening in October! From airshows and dark history tours to classic ballets and space-themed Halloween fun, October is the month for thrilling experiences and memorable events.

Murder & Mayhem WALKabout | Fridays & Saturdays in October

Are you a spooky history buff? Take a walk on the dark side of historic League City with the League City Historical Society and their popular Murder & Mayhem WALKabouts. Travel back in time to League City at the turn of the century, where the crimes and unsavory history were making news headlines. Book your spot today before they run out.

BAHBT Presents: Cinderella | October 13, 14, & 15

Take a trip to the theatre and experience the classic, beloved tale of Cinderella performed by the Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre. This performance will delight the young and old, and you won't want to miss it!


Johnson Space Center Open House | October 14, 9 AM–3 PM

NASA’s Johnson Space Center is opening its gates to the public by hosting their 2023 Open House, celebrating NASA’s 65th anniversary, the International Space Station’s 25th, and the upcoming Artemis missions to the Moon. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the Apollo and Artemis Mission Control Centers, meet and greet with NASA astronauts, and see other behind-the-scenes historic accomplishments, as well as view the annular solar eclipse.


Harvest Festival | October 14, 9 AM–2 PM

Celebrate fall and join League City’s Parks and Recreation Department for their annual Harvest Festival at League Park. Enjoy activities for the entire family, including a pumpkin carving contest, kid’s costume contest, hayrides, kid’s crafts, games, food trucks, artisan and craft vendors for holiday shopping, and more.

Houston Country, Folk & Blues Festival | October 14, 9 AM–10 PM

Jam out at Clear Lake Park during this music festival. Enjoy concerts from Grammy Award Winners and Billboard #1 artists, 120 artists & crafters, a farmers’ market, and dozens of fun contests and attractions. This is a free, public event.


Wings Over Houston | October 14 & 15

Get ready for a full weekend of aviation fun! Experience the thrills of modern aviation and vintage World War II aircrafts at one of the top airshows in the United States. This year's Air Show Weekend features the USAF Thunderbirds. League City is proud to be a Wings Over Houston sponsor.

Galaxy Frights at Space Center Houston | October 21, 22, 27, & 28

Space Center Houston is transforming into a launchpad for space-themed Halloween fun. Transport the whole family to explore the wonders of space–with a spooky twist! Show off your Halloween costumes, enjoy special activities and more.


Coast on the waters of Clear Lake during a 2-hour, adults-only cruise with South Shore Harbour Resort and Houston Party Boats. Beer and wine, light bites, and a specialty drink from Ghost Tequila will be provided. Tickets are $59 per person. Reserve your spot by calling 281-334-1000 ext 2022

Music at the Museum | October 27, 7 PM–10 PM

League City Historical Society and League City Folk Association invite you to join them for a free evening of acoustic live music on the beautiful and historic museum grounds of the League City Historical Society. Located at 210 N Kansas Ave.


Helen Hall-o-ween | October 28, 12 PM–4 PM

Trick-or-treat at Helen Hall Library! Enjoy a pumpkin walk and vote for your favorite decorated pumpkin, visit a petting zoo, shop local vendors, and more. Trick-or-treat throughout the inside of the library and at every outdoor activity station. All ages are welcome.

Fire Station 4 Haunted House | October 28, 6 PM–10PM

League City’s volunteer firefighters are bringing back an annual favorite—the Fire Station 4 Haunted House! Stop by Fire Station 4 (175 W. Bay Area Boulevard) for this FREE event. Recommended for kids 12 and over, but kids under 12 are welcome at their parents’ discretion. Parental supervision is required.


Holidays Sneak Peek!

November is already right around the corner. Get ready for some holiday magic with Holiday Open Houses and Block Parties from boutiques and businesses like Belle Lees Boutique, Strawberry Hill Upcycling Boutique, and Butler’s Courtyard. Stop by South Shore Harbour Resort for a giant Gingerbread House unveiling, and sip tea with the Sugar Plum Fairy during Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre’s Sugar Plum Fairy Weekend.
